About Us
Overview: Agricultural Information Management, Inc. is an agricultural consulting and software firm that specializes in information technology for agricultural enterprises and allied industry companies. Currently, we serve a range of businesses from individual enterprises to multibillion dollar pharmaceutical companies.
Our History: Agricultural Information Management (AIM) was established in 1999 to provide management consultation services to dairy producers in the Pacific Northwest; however, its roots go back much farther. Dr. Mark Kinsel, AIMís founder and CEO, started providing consulting services to livestock producers in 1990 while he was employed as a Field Investigator for Washington State Universityís Field Disease Investigation Unit during graduate school. During his PhD training at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Kinsel developed additional skills as a computer programmer and animal health economist.

Since its incorporation in May of 2000, the business has expanded to provide consultation, applied research, software development, and training in other areas of production agriculture as well. In January 2001, AIM acquired the rights to the DairyCHAMP and DairyTQM software from the University of Minnesotaís Center for Farm Financial Management. Work continues on Pork ROE, a financial analysis package for swine operations.

Throughout its history, Dr. Kinsel and AIM have held a strong belief in the power of collaboration. Although the formal staff of AIM is small, we continue to share resources with a number of valuable partners to provide diverse expertise in dealing with agricultural issues and services. We recognize that AIM can not provide all possible services by ourselves, but we are confident in the collective strength of our network of consultants through AIMís association with Sunrise Agricultural Associates, a consortium of consultants sharing expertise in agriculture-related issues.
